FOSTER & VOLUNTEER FAQS

What do I have to pay for when I have a foster dog?

** Fostering is Free!!**

Buffalo Underdogs Rescue supplies a crate, food, toys, leash, collar, vetting, medicine and anything else your foster dog needs.  You supply the love and training! And if you itemize your taxes, the mileage you drive to meet and greets or events is tax-deductible!

What are some other ways you can get involved?

We understand that not everyone can foster a dog, but there are other ways to get involved! We can always use help at adoption events, fundraisers, transportation of dogs to and from veterinary appointments, etc. There are a lot of ways to be involved!

What is required to volunteer/foster?

The approval to foster is much like being approved to adopt.  We require an application be filled out. Your current pets must be spayed/neutered and up to date on shots.  A short home visit from one of our dedicated volunteers is also required to make sure our dogs are going into safe, loving environments. To volunteer for Buffalo Underdogs Rescue, just fill out the application and let us know what you would like to help with!
